Scot & Ben, 4/11/2025
When Scot Pilié and Ben Mount chose Margaret Place for their April wedding, they wanted something that felt like New Orleans itself — eclectic, joyful, and unapologetically personal. Landing on French Quarter Festival weekend was no accident; the city was already celebrating, and their 150 guests were about to join in.
The couple planned every detail themselves, from Luna Botanical‘s lush plant-based décor to a cocktail menu that told its own story: Aperol Spritzes poured tableside before the ceremony, spicy margaritas, and frozen Irish coffees in bodega glasses. The gazebo ceremony opened with “Stargazing” and closed with Rebirth Brass Band‘s “Let’s Go Get ‘Em” — and the evening only grew from there. A grand re-entrance from the balcony to Beyoncé’s “End of Time,” a first dance that pivoted from Lauv to Garth Brooks (a nod to Ben’s Oklahoma roots), and a pedicab getaway into the Lower Garden District night. As Ben put it afterward: “It truly was the most magical day.”
