Annie & David, 6/6/2025

When Annie Dauzat and David Cross planned their June wedding at Margaret Place, they envisioned something colorful and bold — Ikebana-inspired florals by Thibodeaux’s Floral Studio, a disco-era playlist, and three signature cocktails with names that told their own love story: “The Dancing Queen,” “PeePaw’s Paloma,” and “One More, Forever.” What they didn’t plan for was the storm.

Hours before their 105 guests arrived, a summer storm rolled in — and it only made the evening more memorable. Sparkling wine was hand-passed in the Parlor while the team worked behind the scenes, pivoting the floor plan and clearing the courtyard. Coordinator Megan Sapp kept everything seamless, photographer Jen Wolfe captured every moment with an artist’s eye, and by the time the second line wound through the Lower Garden District, the rain had become part of the story. David later called it “the best day of our lives.”

One quiet detail: that morning, David emailed asking if someone could print his vows. Kathleen had them waiting in his room.
